Discussion Panels

Description  The panel is one of the simplest and most adaptable events your organization can host. A panel simply involves one or more speakers infront of the audience. Each of the speakers will discuss the given topic, talk about their experiences, and answer any questions. A typical panel should last about an hour.
Ashley’s Advice
Panels are one of the very basic events any group can host. They are not the most interactive or crowd drawing events, but they are very important for increasing visibility and raising awareness of the issues. Try to have no more than 4 or 5 presenters on any one panel. Lastly, make sure to leave plenty of time for questions, especially when it comes to LGBT issues. Hetero-normative people have questions, things they want to ask but never feel safe/acceptable to ask. Give them a positive and safe space to ask, it may lead to an even more interesting conversation.
